Real Ales and Ciders

We pride ourselves on serving a wide selection of real ales and ciders combined with quality wines and spirits.

All of our real ales are well kept in our cool taproom, ensuring that they are as fresh as possible.

We are proud of our association with CAMRA, and were nominated East Dorset CAMRA Pub of the Year in 2005. Pub of the Year awards are given for many attributes such as a warm welcome, fantastic service, wonderful home-cooked food and high quality real ales. At the Red Lion, we place all of these qualities at the top of our list, and strive for continuous improvement of service. We also like to think of ourselves as a community pub, acting as a meeting place for local groups, sports teams, residents and guests alike.

Regular ales include Timothy Taylor Landlord, Deuchars IPA and Ringwood Best. We also have a selection of up to 25 ciders mainly from Westons.

We have a regular and changing supply of guest ales where we try to source these from smaller local breweries when possible, such as Palmers Brewery in Bridport, Dorset and the Isle of Purbeck Brewery.
